Daniel Bulatkin Organ Trio OSIAN ROBERTS – tenor sax DANIEL BULATKIN – hammond DĀVIDS EGLĪTIS – drums
Pianist, organist and composer Daniel Bulatkin (*1999), currently based in Holland, is one of the leading figures of young Czech jazz. From the beginning of his career, Daniel has been fortunate to collaborate with Czech role models, and soon to perform with foreign names on prestigious stages throughout Europe. All this soon led to performances alongside world stars such as Ulf Wakenius, Justin Faulkner, Tineke Postma, Gergo Borlai, Gary Husband and others. Today Daniel can be heard in formations ranging from straight-ahead and modern jazz to prog-rock, neo-soul and world music. All this without losing his unique sound and signature. Publicists and colleagues describe him as "the hope of Czech jazz" (Czech Television) or "a rising star" (skjazz.sk). To date, he has released two albums as (co-)leader - Drifter Days and The New Beginning. Both CDs were mentioned in the CRo Jazz critics' list as one of the best of their year. This time, Daniel will present a program inspired by the blues, funk and gospel of the 60s, along with top Welsh saxophonist Osian Roberts and young drumming talent from Latvia/Holland Dāvids Eglītis.
